Kickstarter Campaign Closes!

Today is the final day of the kickstart.aTigersTale.com crowdfunding campaign. The campaign officially ends at 9:00pm PST. February 21st, 2023. This live-stream will be a sort of epilogue for the 20+ hours of conversations and interviews we hosted on THE COMICS FU SHOW.

I’ll will be live-streaming a deconstruction of my https://kicktart.aTigersTale.com crowdfunding campaign as well the campaign for my friend Kurtis Fujita’s own comic – we ran this campaign in tandem and this will be the final day for both. We’ll also be joined by Vince Vaitiekunas Director of Moving Comic Factory, the individual I contracted to create the animated book-trailer which is featured in my Kickstarter video.

Final Stretch-Goals

After reaching its funding goal in the campaign’s first week, stretch-goals have resulted in the inclusion of a thank you section and additional pages making the book a 116 page, standard comic-sized graphic novel; full-color and perfect bound. Its cover will feature a very cool Gloss-black on Black cover and inside you will find the epic tale of volume 2, additional back-mater and an exclusive essay and original commission by Kung Fu Master/Comic Artist Sifu Kurtis Fujita! The campaign for his own comic SHADOW GHOST: A KUNG FU COMIC BY A KUNG FU MASTER has also reached it’s funding goal and together we’ve been hosting Season 2 of THE COMICS FU SHOW throughout the campaign.

Custom Commission Backer-Board

Our campaign has reached its penultimate stretch-goal. A custom-printed Backer Board; not only will backers of the Kickstart.aTigersTale.com campaign will receive their copy of A Tiger’s Tale volume 1 or 2 (or both) bagged and boarded (like a properly collectable comic should), but that board will come printed with artwork on both sides. Each side will be featuring artwork by the following guest illustrators.

Lahela Schoessler

Born and raised in Hawaii, Lahela Schoessler spent her childhood drawing and exploring the ocean and forests. At the age of eleven, her grandfather took the family to Disneyworld and during this trip Lahela discovered the beauty of animation. It was then and there that she realized what she wanted to be when she grew up. She graduated from Ringling College of Art + Design and realized that as an animator, she really didn’t have to grow up.

Lahela began her animation career at Laika House, working on projects with Mini Wheats, Honey Nut Cheerios and M&Ms. She then moved into the game industry and had the opportunity to join Disney, where she collaborated on Disney’s Epic Mickey franchise and Marvel projects. Lahela also helped to realize a brand new IP in Final Strike Games’ Rocket Arena. She is currently working at Probably Monsters on an unannounced project. In the evenings she is usually painting and working on her graphic novel project set in Hawaii.
